ACT Honours

An honours list of special achievments of ACT cricketers has been compiled for Cricket ACT by its statistican Adam Morehouse. The list which is updated annually, includes male and female players from the ACT who have:

  • represented in test matches and/or international limited overs matches;

  • been selected for Australian Under 21 (female) and Australian Under 19 (male) teams, the Prime Minister's XI, the Australian Country XI and/or Australian Indigenous teams;
  • played first class cricket or the equivalent of interstate limited overs cricket in or overseas after playing for the ACT;

  • represented the ACT in the Australian Women's Cricket Championship and the Women's National Cricket League.

Players who have played 50, 100 and 150 senior matches for the ACT are also recognised in the Honours List.  At present, recognition of players who have achieved the 50, 100 and 150 match milestones is based on matches played for the ACT at the senior level against: State 2nd XIs or above; the Northern Territory; State Country XIs; international teams equivalent to State 2nd XIs or above; State and Territory Academy teams

and Sydney zone teams such as those competing in the recent State League Cup.  Players who, prior to the adoption of the above criteria, were deemed to have played 50 or more matches for the ACT senior XI of that time continue to be recognised for achieving this milestone.  The first cricketer to play his fiftieth match for the ACT did so in season 1937 1938.

The Honours List also includes those players who represented the ACT when the Comets participated in the national one-day competition (then called the Mercantile Mutual Cup) in seasons 1997 1998, 1998 1999 and 1999 2000.
